Which Flex Should I Choose?

We recommend 38-48% of your weight.

A 145 pound player should be using a 55 Flex

Lower flexes usually lead to quicker releases and harder/faster shots.

Higher flexes for slapshots usually used by defencemen

Does cutting the length of the stick affect its flexibility?

Modifying the stick's length by 1 inch will adjust the stick's flex by approximately 3 flex points.

So, if you remove 2 inches from a stick that initially has a flex rating of 55, its flex will essentially be equivalent to a stick rated at 60-flex.
